American Lighting Brand 9' Flexbrite LED rope light kit.  Ideal for cove lighting, cabinets (above or below), bookshelves, toe kick (kitchen or bath), and decks.  Flexbrite LED emits virtually no heat and is cool to the touch. Contains everything you need for easy, professional results - One (1) 9' strip of LED Flexbrite, attached power cord and nine (9) mounting clips and screws.  Suitable for commercial or residential lighting. Track # DL-TRACK-4 is recommended for straight line installations and will help in keeping the rope light from turning after installation.

This product is not a chasing rope light.  For chasing rope lights please contact at 888.455.2800.  A separate chasing controller will also be needed.

You can interconnect multiple rope lights without any tools.  Although, for best color matching of LEDs we recommend using the same length kits (ex. all 9' kits).  Connecting a 9' kit to a 15' kit may result in visible color difference in LEDs.

In any outdoor installation, all conductors must be coated with dielectric grease, and properly sealed with silicone and shrink tube.

  • Indoor/Outdoor rated

Energy Used

A rating, expressed in watts, to indicate the rate at which a lamp consumes energy. Also known as wattage value.
Energy Used
7 Watts

A measure of "electrical pressure" between two points. The voltage specification of an incandescent lamp is the electrical "pressure" required to drive it at its designed point. The "voltage" of a ballast (e.g. 120 V) refers to the line voltage coming from the power source and is connected to the ballast.

Bulb Shape

The description of the general appearance of a lamp/bulb consists of a letter(s) followed by a number. The letter indicates the shape of the bulb and the number relates to the diameter of the bulb in eighths of an inch. For example, a common household bulb is the A-19. The bulb is "A" shape and the diameter would be nineteen 8ths of an inch, or 2 3/8".

Color Rendering Index is an international system used to rate a lamp's ability to render object colors. The higher the CRI (based upon a 0-100 scale) the richer and more accurately colors generally appear. CRI differences among lamps are not usually visible to the eye unless the difference is more than 3-5 points.

Color Temperature (Kelvin)

An expression of the hue of the light emitted, measured in degrees Kelvin. Usually expressed by a four digit number followed by (k), such as 2700k. Higher temperatures indicate whiter, "cooler" colors, while lower temperatures indicate yellower, "warmer" colors. Some common Kelvin temperature benchmarks are 2700k (warm white), 3500k (neutral white), 4100k (cool white), 5000k (bright white), and 6500k (daylight).
Color Temperature (Kelvin)

Average Rated Life (hr)

A measurement of the average length of time, between first use and the point when 50% of the lamps tested have stopped functioning, , using an operating cycle of 3 hours on, 20 minutes off.
Average Rated Life (hr)

Beam Angle (°)

The width of a light beam, expressed in degrees. The beam angle is often part of the ordering code for reflector lamps. For example, a 50PAR30/HIR/NFL25 is a 50-watt PAR30 narrow flood lamp with a beam angle of 25 degrees.
Beam Angle (°)

Length (in)

Also referred to as "Maximum Overall Length" (MOL). For light bulbs, it measures the length of a light bulb, from the top of the bulb to the bottom of the base or pins and is typically expressed in inches. For light fixtures and ballasts, it applies to the total horizontal length of the item.
Length (in)

Diameter (in)

Light bulbs: a measurement of a bulb's width taken at the widest point of the bulb. Fixtures: the measurement across the widest point of a circular fixture.
Diameter (in)

The decorative finish of the item.

Clear plastic mounting clips or track

Way better than incandescent lite rope

I have an L-shaped hallway with a dropped ceiling with translucent tiles, and had installed ~51 feet of incandescent rope lighting to the perimeter. This indirect lighting arrangement's warm glow around the perimeter of the hallway was perfect for evening use, however after 3 years of use, I noticed that several sections appeared to be burned out. I was never a fan of incandescent rope lighting in the first place (too much heat, fragility of bulb filaments, etc), so decided to upgrade to LED technology. I ended up buying six 9-foot strings of the warm white LED rope, which easily connect together via male/female connectors with threaded locking rings. Heed the manufacturer's warning to use sections of the same length to ensure color consistency between strings. In other applications, I've seen slight variations in LED color between 6' and 12' lengths of this product. Also note that the FAQ for LED rope lights state that if a single LED in the rope section goes bad, the entire section goes out. They have a 60,000 hour lifespan, so I don't anticipate any problems, but had I bought a custom-cut full 51' length section of rope, a single LED failure would require replacing the entire length. I bought an extra 9' section, just in case a failure of a section occurs in the future. The only issue I encountered was that one section of rope had a bad female connector (I could not get the male connector of the next section to insert fully). The solution was to use that section of rope at the end of the run, so no big deal. I'm sure would have been more than happy to exchange the 9' section with the problematic connector for a new one, but it just wasn't necessary. The end result looks perfect, and is a big improvement in looks and energy efficiency over the old incandescent rope.

9' LED Rope Light Kit - Warm White

4.0 1

Q & A
Can these light kits be cut be length to fit correctly under kitchen cabinets?

The 9' kit is not meant to be cut. Doing so will void the warranty, UL listing and may not work. The only LED rope light that we carry that's made to be cut is the 150' reels:

does it just plug right in to a standard outlet or do i need to buy a special transformer or other power supply??????

Contains everything you need for easy, professional results - One (1) 9' strip of LED Flexbrite, attached power cord and nine (9) mounting clips and screws.
