Remphos TOTALtUBE G2® T8 LED DLC listed 4000K cool white 12 watt non-dimmable bulbs works with or without a ballast. The smart internal driver is compatible with most fluorescent ballasts, or remove the ballast and power directly with 120-277 AC line voltage for 7 years of maintenance free operation. The SMARTSENSE-TLED® intelligent switching system provides the safest possible installation that prevents any risk of electricity flowing from one end of the tube to the other before all 4 switches are pressed in. The switch also prevents against "socket to lamp pin" electrical arcing. Integrated TEMPSENSE® fused thermal protection to prevent any overheating. Suitable for use in fixtures where ambient temperature is between -22°F to 113°F. Can be used in lensed recessed troffers.

When connected directly to line voltage (120-277 VAC) this lamp must be wired for double-ended power. This means the line wire (typically the black wire) and the neutral wire (typically the white wire) must be connected to each end of the lamp.

  • Works with or without a ballast. Compatible with most instant-start ballasts. Power to the fixture must be turned off before replacing the lamp. Call one of our Lighting Specialists for details at 888.455.2800.

Energy Used

A rating, expressed in watts, to indicate the rate at which a lamp consumes energy. Also known as wattage value.
Energy Used
12 Watts

A measure of "electrical pressure" between two points. The voltage specification of an incandescent lamp is the electrical "pressure" required to drive it at its designed point. The "voltage" of a ballast (e.g. 120 V) refers to the line voltage coming from the power source and is connected to the ballast.

The end (or ends) of the lamp that fits into the socket.
Medium Bipin

Bulb Shape

The description of the general appearance of a lamp/bulb consists of a letter(s) followed by a number. The letter indicates the shape of the bulb and the number relates to the diameter of the bulb in eighths of an inch. For example, a common household bulb is the A-19. The bulb is "A" shape and the diameter would be nineteen 8ths of an inch, or 2 3/8".
Bulb Shape

Bulb Color

The color of the light produced by a bulb

Cool White

Color Rendering Index is an international system used to rate a lamp's ability to render object colors. The higher the CRI (based upon a 0-100 scale) the richer and more accurately colors generally appear. CRI differences among lamps are not usually visible to the eye unless the difference is more than 3-5 points.

Color Temperature (Kelvin)

An expression of the hue of the light emitted, measured in degrees Kelvin. Usually expressed by a four digit number followed by (k), such as 2700k. Higher temperatures indicate whiter, "cooler" colors, while lower temperatures indicate yellower, "warmer" colors. Some common Kelvin temperature benchmarks are 2700k (warm white), 3500k (neutral white), 4100k (cool white), 5000k (bright white), and 6500k (daylight).
Color Temperature (Kelvin)

Brightness (Lumens)

A rating of the initial light output of a bulb, rated after 100 hrs of operation. Lumens are a measure of how much light falls on one square foot of area, one foot away from the light source.
Brightness (Lumens)

Bulb Finish

The surface finish of a bulb, which may affect the quality of the light emitted.
Bulb Finish

Bulb Technology

The technology implemented by the bulb, e.g. incandescent, halogen, LED

Average Rated Life (hr)

A measurement of the average length of time, between first use and the point when 50% of the lamps tested have stopped functioning, , using an operating cycle of 3 hours on, 20 minutes off.
Average Rated Life (hr)

Operating Temperature (°F)

The ambient temperature in which the product can safely operate.
Operating Temperature (°F)
-22 to 113

Beam Angle (°)

The width of a light beam, expressed in degrees. The beam angle is often part of the ordering code for reflector lamps. For example, a 50PAR30/HIR/NFL25 is a 50-watt PAR30 narrow flood lamp with a beam angle of 25 degrees.
Beam Angle (°)

Bulb Power Type

Defines how a lamp is powered, whether it needs a ballast or not, or can use either
Bulb Power Type

Length (in)

Also referred to as "Maximum Overall Length" (MOL). For light bulbs, it measures the length of a light bulb, from the top of the bulb to the bottom of the base or pins and is typically expressed in inches. For light fixtures and ballasts, it applies to the total horizontal length of the item.
Length (in)

Diameter (in)

Light bulbs: a measurement of a bulb's width taken at the widest point of the bulb. Fixtures: the measurement across the widest point of a circular fixture.

Customer Reviews

Nice, Clean, Efficient Light

Came across these lamps while I was considering ones from another manufacturer. After Jared pointed these out, I visited the Remphos website and appreciated the story behind the company and the quality and certifications on these lamps. They have met the expectations that I had of them and I'm very please with the quality of light. My Kitchen HAD (4), 2-lamp, T-12 fixtures, which are recessed in the ceiling of the kitchen. I removed all 8 of the T-12 lamps, the 4 ballasts, 1/2 of the tombstones from each fixture - and them I wired the fixtures to line voltage (120V) and only installed a total of 4 lamps (1 in each of the fixtures). I now have a higher light level in my kitchen, it's "Flicker free" - and my wife and I love the quality of the light. I'm COMPLETELY Satisfied!!! :-)

Quality product and safe to install

This Remphos Totaltube G2 T8 hybrid LED can be used either with or without a ballast. If you're not ready to bypass the ballast you can simply take out your existing fluorescent T8 and replace it with this Remphos Totaltube G2 T8 LED. When your ballast stops working you can take out the Remphos Totaltube G2 T8 LED, bypass the ballast, and put back the same T8 LED. No need to purchase a new T8 LED. Best of all, because of the products switching system that prevents any risk of electricity flowing from one of the tube to the other before all 4 switches are pressed in, this product prevents against socket to lamp pin electrical arcing, a concern that is present in most other T8 LED bypass and hybrid products. This product also provides more uplight than most other T8 LEDs due to its 240 degree beam angle, and carries a 7 year limited warranty. Definitely worth the slightly higher price vs. other T8 LEDs.
