Color Rendering Index is an international system used to rate a lamp's ability to render object colors. CRI differences among lamps are not usually visible to the eye unless the difference is more than 3-5 points.

Some common Kelvin temperature benchmarks are 2700k (warm white), 3500k (neutral white), 4100k (cool white), 5000k (bright white), and 6500k (daylight).

So far so good

Only had a short time, but they are working great.

A Name-Brand Product...

This is a name-brand product, not a product manufactured in mass w/poor quality control as is often offered by bulk sellers. The Philips fluorescent tube - or "bulb" - is a quality product that functions as expected; first time, every time. Its only flaw is the finish of the brass-plate connector prongs - the tip of each connector is most often quite rough, making it difficult to install the tube in fixture socket(s). This can be quickly remedied by applying a fine diamond rasp to the rough tip ends. Once this is done, the installation process is exceptionally easy. Assuming these tubes last the advertised/specified length of time, the product will be purchased again for replacements.

40 Watt, 48 Inch T12 Cool White Fluoresc

we were happy to find these as they are getting harder to get and for much less than our local hardware store. they last for many years. for free shipping we had to get 3 boxes of 10 but they will be used as we have 6 fixtures that use these bulbs. had them double packed so no breakage and they were delivered within 1 week as opposed to 3 weeks some place else.

Q & A
What des 2G stands for? I need to replace a bulb, exactly the same reference but mine says 3B? Thanks!

This is actually a Philips date code. Where the numbers indicate the year and the letters indicate the month. 3B stands for 2013 and B for February. This is not an important part to replacing your lamp. Please contact Customer Service at 888-455-2800 for further assistance.

Hello! How is a T-12 48" fluorescent tube displaced from its socket and how does a person replace a T-12 48" tube ? --Is it easy to screw in this lo-ong tube (both ends have to be hoisted!) or can it just be plugged in? Thank you for your consideration!

You should only need to slide the pins into the socket and then twist the bulb in to place to secure it.
