bright light

I noticed that the replacements from the big box home improvement store II have been using for canned ceiling lights didn't seem so bright. anymore. Apparently, the brightness is being reduced by the manufacturers, although the watts and volts seem to be the same. I tried one of these as a replacement light, and it was brighter than the others in the room. So, I replaced them all, and the room is brighter now. My eyesight isn't so great anymore, and the extra brightness of these bulbs help!

I will continure to purchase this produc

We use this bulb in an enclosed display case, because it runs cool the bulbs do not burn out as fast.

I love these bulbs

I replaced the CFLs with these bulbs. The difference was like night and day, literally. The stupid CFLs took forever to ramp up, didn't come to full brightness, and had mercury in them. Mercury is a *** POISON **** [*] Having to follow HAZMAT procedures if you had the misfortune to break one was absolute idiocy.[*] The only good thing about CFLs is that they run cool and save some energy. The technology just isn't there, yet. LEDs might do it once the prices come down - a lot!!

Last long and so very inexpensive

I live in Chicago and these bulbs usually cost triple what sells them for, [...]. I have so many recessed fixtures I get these bulbs by the case and the brand Bulbrite is just as good as the bigger company's bulbs. I get all my odd bulbs here as well. Great selection and the website is perfect. They let you really see all the dimensions and view the bulbs at all angles so you can be sure you get the right bulb with zero confusion.

Most work well, one died immediately

The first bulb went dead within a couple of days. Since then I've used 3 more and they are working well.

What color is the light? Is it warm (golden) or white? I need it for my kitchen and don't want mood lighting in there. I can't find any incandescent bulbs that are bright white. The halogens are perfect, but too hot in the summer. Please help!

These bulbs are incandescent and will have a soft yellow light output. If a brighter, whiter light is needed, another option (other than halogen) would be a compact fluorescent bulb. These will save energy and they are available in different color temperatures. There are 5,000K color temperatures available that product a bright, white light output. You can find them using the following link:
