THE 130 VOLT BULBS NORMALLY LAST FOR SEVERAL YEARS BEFORE NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. DO NOT BURN OUT AS FAST AS 120 BULBS. MY WIFE AND I LIKE THE TINT OF LIGHT THEY EMIT. EASY ON THE EYES . I HAVE BEEN USEING 130 VOLT BULBS IN OUR HOME FOR 36 YEARS SO I MUST BE PLEASED.

    • Q:

Please explain difference of 120 & 130 Volt bulbs other than 130 has 10 more volts.
For example, do we need special wiring and/or uses more electricity and/or whatever.
We plan to use them in our garage ceiling.
      Thanks !

        A:

There is no special wiring needed. Basically, if you use a 130 volt bulb in a 120 volt fixture you will find the light output to be slightly dimmer and you will also extend the life of the bulb.
