Q & A

Maxlite brand 13 Watt compact fluorescent lamp. A-style design conceals fluorescent spiral within the lamp. Bright white color and high color rendering means a brighter, more colorful space

  • Outstanding energy efficiency - provides equivalent light to many 60 Watt incandescent lamps while using only 13 Watts of electricity

  • Outstanding life - 15,000 hour rated life is seven to 15 times as long as most incandescent lamps

  • Outstanding value - replace your existing lamps with more energy efficient technology, at a competitive price

  • Unlike most compact fluorescent lamps, this lamp is rated for use in enclosed fixtures.  Perfect for use with globes, jelly-jars, and other enclosed fixtures where other compact fluorescent lamps won't last.

NOT RECOMMENDED for use with control devices such as sensors or dimmers, may shorten lamp life

Comments about MaxLite 60 Watt Incandescent Equivalent, 13 Watt, 120 Volt A-Style Bright White CFL Bulb:

I've used several hundred of these bulbs so far on a comercial property. They work well in any location that you want a CFL but don't want to see a curly-q. IE.. Vanity bars, and lamps that you can see the bulb. The other place that I use them is in totaly enclosed lamp post fixtures with "Jelly Jar" globes. They do take a few minutes to warm up at -30, but you cant have everthing. I have had maybe two or three that didn't last as long as they should have, but that's less than one percent, so not bad.

            A:

CFL bulbs like this one can be used outdoors provided they are not exposed directly to rain and snow. Fixtures that are enclosed or protected by exterior eves and overhangs should afford adequate protection. These bulbs can operate in temperatures from 0°-100° Fahrenheit. It is recommended that this product not be used with timers or photo sensors.
