            • Q:

Is this the type/size of bulb that would fit into the socket of a A-19 bulb?
Asked on 1/18/2014 by Angie from Austin, TX

                A:

That would depend. The socket refers to the base, but A-19 refers to the shape. Many different shaped bulbs could have this medium base (like a table lamp socket). This is a globe and depending on the space, the diameter of the globe may be too wide for fixture. Please contact Customer Service at 888-455-2800 for further assistance.

What is the light output? (lumens)

              • CUSTOMER CARE

                A:

This type of bulb is not used for general lighting applications. The chrome on the bulb allows the light to reflect back towards the fixture. It's used for indirect lighting. Typically, the manufacturers of these types of bulbs do not list the light output. The manufacturer did measure the light output of this item in their test facility and they measured approximately 300 lumens.

              • CUSTOMER CARE

                A:

Currently there are no LED's available that are half chrome/mirror globes. Although the introduction of this style LED is not imminent, it is possible manufacturers will introduce these types of LED’s in their future product plans.
