This Lutron Maestro® Companion Dimmer CAN NOT BE USED as the primary dimmer in a circuit. This product is designed as a lower-cost "partner" to be connected to a fully-functional Maestro dimmer for multi-location dimming.

Compatible with Maestro dimmers controlling LED, CFL, Incandescent, or Halogen lights.
Maximum wattage dictated by light type (LED, Incandescent, etc.), capacity of primary dimmer, and local codes (derating.)
Up to nine (9) Masetro companion dimmers can be linked to a single fully-functional Maestro dimmer.
One tap on/off to selected light level, two taps for full brightness
Compatible with 3-way wiring, NOT FOR SINGLE POLE wiring.
Wallplate not included. Product CW-1-WH can be purchased separately.

Ideal Application: Large room(s) or hall(s) with multiple switches tied to a primary Maestro dimmer.
