Comments about MaxLite 125 Watt Incandescent Equivalent, 23 Watt, R40 Warm White Compact Fluorescent Medium Base Bulb:

Since moving to these bulbs our energy use has been dramatically reduced versus the old incandescent R-40's. These newer generation replacement bulbs brighten faster and have a very pleasing warm white color temp. We replaced 6 old bulbs in our kitchen and now power 6 of these for the same wattage as 1 of the old!

I love the produce, but it did not fit into the standard can light fixtures we have. It would be nice if you could show a photo of the various "can" fixtures and the appropriate size bulb to use. We did re-order and have returned the wrong sized bulbs. [...]

We use these as general light in our furniture showroom. They are bright, but don't compete with the natural colors of the furniture, as they don't leave a blue or green cast. They cast a warm, bright light, with little shadowing.

Can this bulb be used outside? And it is protected from the elements under the soffit.

              A:

Yes, this can be used in an outdoor application, however, CFL lamps do not perform well in cold applications. We would suggest using an LED for highest performance in an outdoor application. Please contact one of our certified Lighting Specialists at 888-455-2800 for further assistance.

          • Q:

I plan to use this product to light a horse's stalls. The receptacle into which the bulb will go, does not have a reflector, but the base screws down inside the receptacle about 1.5 to 2 inches. I need to know if the white "ceramic" looking part of the base (not the screw part) will fit down inside this part of the receptacle. What is the diameter of the white part of the base?

I will purchase a case of the bulbs if it will fit.

            Thanks for your help.
