Comments about Bulbrite 7 Watt Replacement! 0.35 Watt, 120 Volt C9 Clear LED Holiday Bulb:

I am using them in window candle fixtures, and they are quite nice.
The bulb is a lot less bright than a 7 watt incandescent, it is more like a 1 or 2; what can you expect at 0.35 watts? But the white is not irritating like the LED bulbs of just a year or so ago, and the imitation 'cut glass' is decently attractive - not quite as nice looking as the "flame tip" bulbs in window candles, but much better than substituting a night light bulb. And replacing with these bulbs instead of switching to battery-powered LED candles will save a lot in batteries over a few years.

  • Q:

How bright are these bulbs? I'm looking into LED's for a ceiling fan that takes intermediate based bulbs.

This product is made to replace a 7-watt incandescent decorative bulb. Its primary application is for decorative purposes, not general illumination. While the product will work (with proper ventilation) in a ceiling fan, it will not provide adequate light if say a 25-watt or higher bulb is currently being used.

A good nightlight, that's about it. Considering that LED bulbs are up to 5 times as efficient as incandescent, a 0.35 watt LED would at best replace 1.6 watts, not 7

can I use this bulb outside in a regular outdoor lamp?

The bulb is perfectly suitable for outdoor applications but has an Intermediate (17 mm in diameter) base that is not typically found in a "regular outdoor lamp" sockets. Common household fixtures have a Medium base socket that is 26mm in diameter.
