Comments about Bulbrite 40 Watt, 120 Volt Clear Krypton Blunt Tip Decorative Bulb:

Last year we renovated our master bathroom and installed sconces on either side of the make-up mirrors. We could only get 40W incandescent bulbs for the sconces we liked. After using these bulbs for a while, we decided that we needed brighter lights for this purpose. After reviewing many possible replacement bulbs, including LED, I happened upon the Bulbrite brand Krypton decorative bulbs, read its existing 5-star review, and noted that these bulbs were rated about 30% brighter (480 lumens) than most other candelabra bulbs. These bulbs were just the ticket and are considerably brighter than regular candelabra bulbs.

Comments about Bulbrite 40 Watt, 120 Volt Clear Krypton Blunt Tip Decorative Bulb:

I could not find 40watt bulbs that burned as brightly as the one I needed to replace in my multi-bulb chandelier. Other 40watt bulbs that I tried looked dull in comparison. After looking on the internet, I learned to look for the lumen output. These krypton bulbs were just the trick. All 40 watt chandelier bulbs are not the same. If you want bright, clear light, this bulbs for you.

what is krypton? I noticed the price on this bulb is more than double similar bulbs. What makes krypton special? Am not sure how to evaluate it - -

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

This bulb contains Krypton gas. Krypton bulbs emit a whiter light, are more efficient because they produce higher lumens at lower wattages and create less heat than a standard halogen or incandescent bulb.
