These are great bulbs and you can't beat the price when buying in quantity. No one sells these anymore in stores such as [@]etc. I use these in the kitchen where I prefer a lot of light and the "new" bulbs don't offer that. Although they are halogen bulbs they burn cooler than standard bulbs.

I used these bulbs for overhead lighting in kitchen. This type/style was supposed to replace a 150watt bulb. I replaced 2 can lights with two of these bulbs. Both felled within a few days. Don't know what to use now since my original bulbs are not available anymore.

Comments about Bulbrite 120 Watt, 120 Volt BR40 HALOGEN Flood Reflector Bulb:

I have five recessed lights in my kitchen and they are on a dimmer. The 120 watt incondescent floods work great. When I want it bright I crank them up, and when I want it soft, I turn them down. I can't find the 120's in my area either. I don't appreciate the fact that the government is dictating what kind of light bulbs I use. I'm not going with the LED's either. Incondescent lights add more warmth to the Home. LED's cost more and are much more efficient power-wise, but they just throw out a 'cold' feeling into the room. In my opinion, the LED's are too commercial for the Home so i will use these as long as I can.

Comments about Bulbrite 120 Watt, 120 Volt BR40 HALOGEN Flood Reflector Bulb:

I do not like the new "curly-fry", mercury bulbs. They take too long to light up.
They never are bright enough. However that's all they have in the stores.
This is the only way I can get the bulbs I want.

Comments about Bulbrite 120 Watt, 120 Volt BR40 HALOGEN Flood Reflector Bulb:

We have eight of these in our bedroom ceiling. They produce a wonderful amount of light, and the color seems fine. The only problem is that they are somewhat noisy, particularly in the few minutes after they are turned off. I assume it is the filaments cooling off and contracting, but it's not so bad that I've had to replace the bulbs.

Comments about Bulbrite 120 Watt, 120 Volt BR40 HALOGEN Flood Reflector Bulb:

Our reception area was a bit drab and dingy with the original flood lights or was "cold" and harsh whenever we'd turn on the florescent lights. For our clients, my team and myself, I wanted an nice, but bright, ambience in the recetion area. So, I talked to someone at Bulbs.com and he recommended a different kind of flood light bulb than what we are using. They had them in stock and pricing was very fair so I ordered ten. We replaced the existing floods and the place looks so much better now. They new bulbs produce a bright, cool light with 20% less energy. I'm very happy with Bulbs.com - these folks know what they're doing!

Comments about Bulbrite 120 Watt, 120 Volt BR40 HALOGEN Flood Reflector Bulb:

The 120W and 120V Halogen Reflector Bulbs I purchased from Bulbs.com were not available at any local store. For that reason, I went searching for them or comparable bulbs on the Internet and was very pleased to find them (along with several thousand other light bulbs!) for sale on your website. I ordered these bulbs and received them in less than a week and with free shipping (available for orders over $25.00). Currently, the bulbs are being used in the kitchen and both bathrooms of my home; they are great additions to all three rooms..

Throughout this transaction, I was most impressed with the highly professional, very personalized service received from your company. When I again need additional lightbulbs, I will certainly order them from Bulbs.com. CG

This product performs as expected. However, being halogen, it is extremely bright. I used this in place of standard 120W floods which I cannot find.

Bulbs [...] were exactly what i needed. You can no longer find these in any hardware stores. Makes your room look kinda odd if seven out of the eight bulbs in the kitchen are 120 Watts and the only thing you can buy at the store are 90 Watt bulbs. I ordered enough from Bulbs.com that should last me for a few years.

Yes, it is a standard incandecent bulb. I have them in use in three different areas of my home and all have dimmers. Just be sure your dimmer can handle the total wattage. Otherwise the dimmer switch will get warm and eventually not dim very well.
