Did Not Work

Our refrigerator uses European E14 base bulbs. An adapter to convert to US standard candelabra bulbs was exactly what we needed. However, the adapter was too deep. The base of the candelabra bulb could not make contact with the bottom of the adapter - therefore the adapter did not work at all. Had to go back and order E14 bulbs and returned the adapters. Paid postage both ways on the adapters plus on the E14 bulbs. Bulbs.com was very helpful in shipping the bulbs - but this product does not work with standard candelabra bulbs.

Friend brought a lamp as gift from Turkey. Needed E14 bulb base -- this fits perfectly. Now I can use my usual night light bulbs. Definitely would recommend...

Mine didn't work, and I felt that the shipping was to expensive for such small device. and it's impossible to get out once you put it in.

Just to let you know that the shipment was to be sent to the office, however you sent to my home. The package was soft so I had some units pushed in. However, I had extra soder inside so the lamp would not fit in. In total we had maybe 4 or 5 units not workable. But we purchased extra and they all worked. Thank you

Converting from European to US bulb

5

I had a salt lamp which I purchased in Europe, bulb (designed for 220 V) worked almost continuously for 10 years but finally burned out, so I needed to put in US type biulb and the socket did not match the bulb base. This converter was what I needed.

Q & A
Is there a product that's the reverse of this? European (E14) bulb into a candelabra (E12) socket? Where can I find it?

Balatchi

No, we do not carry the reverse of this product.

Anonymous

will this reducer work for a buib that is an s14 ? I purchased a chandelier from the Netherlands and I can't find a bulb in the U.S. that is candelabra that will fit in the socket base. I ordered a reducer that fits an e17 to an e12 and it is still to large to screw into the light socket. I contacted the seller and he said i needed a 14s or 14 mm base. Please advise me if you have anything that will work for me. Thankyou

qing

Yes, this reducer lets you screw a candelabra or E12 based bulb into the reduced, which then allows you to screw the reduced into an E14 or European socket. The E14 is 14mm in diameter.

There is a warning about using this with halogen bulbs because t hey are hot. Would there be a problem with a 15 watt appliance bulb?

nualum

No, the warning in regarding high wattage halogen lamps. 15 watts will be okay.
