Comments about Philips Lighting Company 60 Watt, 120 Volt Blunt Tip Decorative Natural Daylight Bulb:

Wow - I replaced one burned out bulb in a 4 light fixture with this natural day light bulb, and the paint color in the area around the bulb just came alive! By contrast, the wall color near the older non-daylight bulbs looks like it has a sickly yellow haze over it. I cannot wait until the others burn out! The reflection of the bulb on the ceiling has a tiny bit of "pattern" to it and it looks really nice.

This bulb is tinted blue so the bulb can emit light similar to natural daylight. The light will not appear blue.

The bulb itself looks blue, the light it gives off is clean and white. I used it in an up-light fixture and am very pleased with the color of the light it gives off. It is truly like daylight.

    • Q:

I want to purchase this product, but I need to find the color temperature of this product. The product description mentions that it is a daylight bulb but I want to make sure is it exactly the same as normal daylight bulbs by finding out the temperature. Please tell me about the temperature "and" base of this product.

      Thank you

The manufacturer does not list a color temperature for this bulb. It is an incandescent bulb and typically they have a color temperature of 2700K. This particular bulb has a blue finish to give off a light output similar to natural daylight (6500K). Also, the base is a candelabra screw base (E12) and measures approximately 12mm in diameter.
