Some common Kelvin temperature benchmarks are 2700k (warm white), 3500k (neutral white), 4100k (cool white), 5000k (bright white), and 6500k (daylight).

Comments about Philips 40 Watt Incandescent Equivalent, 7 Watt, 120 Volt Dimmable LED A-19 Lamp:

As a bedroom reading light at full output it's great. As an accent lamp, not so good.
As an incandescent lamp dims the output gets redder in color, adding ambiance to the room. These lamps do not redden as they are dimmed and cast a dim pallor rather than a warm glow at low output.

Comments about Philips 40 Watt Incandescent Equivalent, 7 Watt, 120 Volt Dimmable LED A-19 Lamp:

I've put these and the brighter 11-Watt siblings in two bathrooms now and I love them. All of them are in wall fixtures with dimmer switches and provide a nice warm white light that stays white when dimmed. I have previously tried other LED bulbs that turned distinctly blue when dimmed, so I was pleasantly surprised with these.

The upstairs bathroom now has two 8-Watt bulbs and one 11-Watt for a total of 27 Watts replacing three 60-Watt incandescent bulbs. Downstairs I have two 8-Watt and two 11-Watt bulbs replacing four 60-Watt incandescent bulbs. That's 38 Watts replacing 240, and they're actually brighter!

Now I need 50-100-150 Watt-equivalent three-way versions for several table lamps! And 50-200-250 versions would be great too, I have three lamps that could use those.
