A measure of "electrical pressure" between two points. The voltage specification of an incandescent lamp is the electrical "pressure" required to drive it at its designed point. Bulb Shape

The description of the general appearance of a lamp/bulb consists of a letter(s) followed by a number. The bulb is "A" shape and the diameter would be nineteen 8ths of an inch, or 2 3/8".

      • Q:

I have several lamps that use 25watt chandelier bulbs that can be used on a dimmer. These bulbs are no longer available in the big box stores or local hardware stores. Can I substitute your 25watt chandelier bulbs for the ones I used to buy?
Asked on 12/29/2011 by Eileen from N.J.

Provided that the base on this bulb (candelabra, measures 12mm in diameter) matches the current ones, then this would be a suitable replacement. The product is an incandescent bulb and the vast majority of incandescent bulbs are dimmable.
