Comments about Philips Lighting 14.5 Watt, 48" T8 Neutral White LED Bulb:

Nice light. Helps with keeping an area that isn't cooled cooler. The light is a little brighter than I expected, believe it or not the neutral light acts very closely in color to a bright white fluorescent. This light will definitely serve its purpose, which is lighting in a commercial office.

Comments about Philips Lighting 14.5 Watt, 48" T8 Neutral White LED Bulb:

I was hesitant to try LED tubes due to needing to rewire and being unsure of the light output. The Philips instafit line eliminates the need to rewire which made testing it a no brainer. The light output is better than the flourescent tubes they are replacing at less than half the power.

      • Anywhere To Replace T-8

Comments about Philips Lighting 14.5 Watt, 48" T8 Neutral White LED Bulb:

Use this to replace 4' T-8 anywhere you already have instant start ballast. Easy as changing the tube. Good quality of light and bright with high or low ballast factor. I have some of each ballast factors. CREE just released a comparavle product that also does not require changing ballast - looking forward to trying it too.

Comments about Philips Lighting 14.5 Watt, 48" T8 Neutral White LED Bulb:

As far as i know I have modern instant on fixtures. I tried 4 different bulbs in two different fixtures and they did not light. Then when i go to return the item I am told that I cant because the packaging was damaged. The bulbs arrived tightly taped in bubble wrap so that the practical way to open the package (other than tediously trying to peal the tape) is to use a knife to get at the bulbs. So now I have completely wasted my money. Don't take a chance on these. Still can't believe Bulbs.com wont stand behind their products. Last time I buy from them.

No, the Philips InstantFit LED will only operate with an electronic instant start ballast.
