Philips Brand LED DIMMABLE 13 Watt lamp generates as much light as many 65 Watt BR30 incandescent lamps. Can smoothly dim down to 10% power.

  • Uses AirFlux Technology which provides optimal thermal efficiency in a sleek, lightweight design
  • Perfect to use anywhere you are using a 65 Watt BR30 incandescent lamp

  • No lead or mercury means easy and environmentally safe disposal

  • 730 Lumens initial light output is comparable to most 65 Watt incandescent lamps, while saving 52 Watts in electricity

  • VERY long life - rated to still put out 70% as much light after 25,000 hours of operation as it does when brand new

  • Energy Star qualified

Also, NOT RECOMMENDED for use in enclosed fixtures because heat buildup can shorten life.  DO NOT "hot swap" this lamp.  Turn off fixture before replacing existing bulb.

Energy Used

A rating, expressed in watts, to indicate the rate at which a lamp consumes energy. Also known as wattage value.

Energy Used
13 Watts

Volts

A measure of "electrical pressure" between two points. The voltage specification of an incandescent lamp is the electrical "pressure" required to drive it at its designed point. The "voltage" of a ballast (e.g. 120 V) refers to the line voltage coming from the power source and is connected to the ballast.

Base

The end (or ends) of the lamp that fits into the socket.

Medium (E26)

Bulb Shape

The description of the general appearance of a lamp/bulb consists of a letter(s) followed by a number. The letter indicates the shape of the bulb and the number relates to the diameter of the bulb in eighths of an inch. For example, a common household bulb is the A-19. The bulb is "A" shape and the diameter would be nineteen 8ths of an inch, or 2 3/8".

Bulb Shape
BR-30

Bulb Color

The color of the light produced by a bulb

Bulb Color
Warm White

CRI

Color Rendering Index is an international system used to rate a lamp's ability to render object colors. The higher the CRI (based upon a 0-100 scale) the richer and more accurately colors generally appear. CRI differences among lamps are not usually visible to the eye unless the difference is more than 3-5 points.

CRI
82

Color Temperature (Kelvin)

An expression of the hue of the light emitted, measured in degrees Kelvin. Usually expressed by a four digit number followed by (k), such as 2700k. Higher temperatures indicate whiter, "cooler" colors, while lower temperatures indicate yellower, "warmer" colors. Some common Kelvin temperature benchmarks are 2700k (warm white), 3500k (neutral white), 4100k (cool white), 5000k (bright white), and 6500k (daylight).

Color Temperature (Kelvin)
2700

Brightness (Lumens)

A rating of the initial light output of a bulb, rated after 100 hrs of operation. Lumens are a measure of how much light falls on one square foot of area, one foot away from the light source.

Brightness (Lumens)
730

Bulb Finish

The surface finish of a bulb, which may affect the quality of the light emitted.

Bulb Finish
Frosted

Bulb Technology

The technology implemented by the bulb, e.g. incandescent, halogen, LED

Average Rated Life (hr)

A measurement of the average length of time, between first use and the point when 50% of the lamps tested have stopped functioning, , using an operating cycle of 3 hours on, 20 minutes off.

Average Rated Life (hr)
25000

Beam Angle (°)

The width of a light beam, expressed in degrees. The beam angle is often part of the ordering code for reflector lamps. For example, a 50PAR30/HIR/NFL25 is a 50-watt PAR30 narrow flood lamp with a beam angle of 25 degrees.

Beam Angle (°)
90

Length (in)

Also referred to as "Maximum Overall Length" (MOL). For light bulbs, it measures the length of a light bulb, from the top of the bulb to the bottom of the base or pins and is typically expressed in inches. For light fixtures and ballasts, it applies to the total horizontal length of the item.

Length (in)
5.1

Diameter (in)

Light bulbs: a measurement of a bulb's width taken at the widest point of the bulb. Fixtures: the measurement across the widest point of a circular fixture.

High Quality Design

Most LED bulbs I tried did not fit into my existing ceiling fixtures (cans) because they were too fat. This bulb, however, has exactly the same narrow shape as the original incandescent bulb.

Were replaced our 65W spot lights with13W LED bulbs. Great light, GREAT service from Chris, the rep. Would purchase from this company again.

Nice but different than Halogen Flood

4

This bulb was purchased to replace a halogen long-necked flood light located over my kitchen sink. The light is not quite as bright as the halogen. It is a softer light. We've had it in for a couple of weeks and I'm finally getting used to it. I would prefer a bulb with a brighter light. However, my husband leaves this light on all the time and the halogen replacements that are available do not last as long as the old ones I used to get (which are no longer manufactured). I have not received an electric bill since we started using this bulb, so I am curious if the kwh readings will be less. I just wish it were a tiny bit brighter. It is probably about 7/8 of the brightness of the former halogen bulb.

Very nice lighting

Replaced three 65 watt lights above our kitchen island. Bulbs do not give off any heat, and work well with the dimmer switch. It took my wife over a week before she noticed the bulbs were different. I would definatly purchase more to replace other bulbs.

Great replacement bulb for recessed

4

Used in dimmer recessed lighting. Brightness and warm color are good--it does not dim as low as the regular incandescent bulbs, but for the price tag way worth the small sacrifice in dimmability.

Replaced 65w 130v Reflector Flood w/LED

4

Works better than expected. Almost indistinguishable from a std 65w incandescent reflector lamp. Even slightly brighter. We are using these on a 600w lutron dimmer in an office building. Dims smoothly. Replaced all the bulbs on the nightlight circuits at first. This way they're always on for safety and not subject to burnout. I will be replacing the rest over time. Note that incandescents will change color temperature as they dim, from white to reddish color. The LED bulbs will dim, but don't appear to change color temperature. It would be a great idea to replace the "hard to reach" incandescents with LED bulbs first since they last 25,000 hrs.

These have surpassed my expectations. I especially like the warm color as opposed to the early LED blue/white light.

Q & A
Are they designed for outdoor use ?

ralph

No, these Philips LED lamps are not designed for outdoor use.

Would these replace incandescent floods in cans? or is a can too enclosed?

alana

The bulb should not be used in a fixture that is totally enclosed. Heat will affect the life and performance of the bulb if allowed to build up within the fixture. This product is made to replace standard incandescent bulbs used in recessed cans. The recessed can typically have enough ventilation to allow heat to escape.
