Comments about Philips Lighting Philips 10.5 Watt, 36" T8 Soft White LED Bulb:

I replaced to standard T5 fluorescent bulbs in my utility room with these. Didn't have to mess with the ballast or anything - just put them in the fixture and voila. Just what I was after. I don't like fluorescent lights. I just wish someone could do this same thing for T8 bulbs.

    • Q:

Can I replace a standard florescent tube with an LED tube?

        A:

Thanks for the questions! If you currently are using T8 fluorescent tubes then you can plug and play with the LED Tubes. If you are using T12 tubes, you would need to retrofit your light fixture. Also LED tubes need an instant-start ballast to be able to use them. Hope this helped!
