Can this be used in an enclosed lighting fixture?

cruisso

No, the Philips SlimStyle lamps are not rated for use within enclosed fixtures.

I installed these in my hallway ceiling light, which is controlled by a motion sensor switch at on end. They glow when not on. Will this harm them and shorten there lifespan.

Dan

It is most likely because you are using this Philips LED within an enclosed fixture. It is NOT RECOMMENDED for use in enclosed fixtures because heat buildup can shorten life.

Anonymous

Can this bulb be dimmed by the same dimmer used for incandescent bulbs?
