    I installed these in my hallway ceiling light, which is controlled by a motion sensor switch at on end. They glow when not on. Will this harm them and shorten there lifespan.

      It is most likely because you are using this Philips LED within an enclosed fixture. It is NOT RECOMMENDED for use in enclosed fixtures because heat buildup can shorten life.
