Comments about Ushio America, Inc. 17 Watt, 24" T8 Cool White Fluorescent Bulb:

I purchase 17 Watt, 24" T8 Cool White Fluorescent Bulb by Ushio America, Inc from Bulds.com. They sent them right away, and they were good quality. Cost of shipping better than expected. The bulb is not labeled the same as american brands like GE or Phillips but they are the same. the watts of there bulbs are 18 watts so the energy savings is very little but at least it is less. I am very happy with the transaction, and I will buy agian from Bulbs.com again. The labeling in not important the quality is tho.

                    A:

the GE brand calls this F24"T8 CW-4
This is a 24 inch bulb for a T8 fixture The GE is a 18 watt 24 inch bulb. This is one watt less at 17 watts. That will probably last a little longer because it will burn a little cooler but it will show just a little less bright. I tried to get this at Walmart and they cost $8 with tax or more. Home depot was the same.
these were less than one half the cost even after paying shipping so it pays to shop on the net. It cost 3.80 per bulb after being shipped, and it took only 4 days to get to Hawaii, that was very speedy.
F17 must be the watts T8 is the base type or fixture type You would have to find out about a the length. It should show 24" 36" 48" The Japan or china brands show a different number than US brands. I saw that they said they were 24" so I bought them and it turned out to be a great buy.

                    A:

The bulbs have the same specifications, 17-watts, T8, 24" in length, 4100K color and CRI ratings in the mid to upper 70's. The only difference is the manufacturer. The "SP41" is typically a GE product code.
