Q & A

Bulbrite brand 10 Watt halogen capsules. JC type, 12 volts for low voltage systems. Low voltage means a smaller filament, for greater optical control.

  • Halogen lights provide brighter, whiter light than incandescents, while maintaining outstanding color rendering

  • Perfect for undercabinet and accent lighting

DOUBLE CHECK the distance separating the two pins on your existing lamp.  They come in different sizes and if the pins do not match up correctly, the capsule will not fit properly.  Distance between pin tips for this version is 4mm (0.16")

I use these bulbs in covered flower bed & small spot lights. They work very well & are great for my use but they do not last very long. I have 10 ground & 2 spot lights that use the same bulbs. They are operated by a transformer & photo cell designed for these 12 volt bulbs. I have to replace 1 or 2 bulbs about once a month. I believe they should last longer than that.

Very happy with my purchase. I searched extensively for the best T4 bulb for the price and I found it at Bulbs.com. I use my chandelier every day and so far these bulbs have performed great. They have not burned out after two months. I ordered a couple of dozen so got free shipping. My order came promptly and the price was right.

                  A:

To properly answer your questions, we may need more information. A hot halogen bulb cannot be submersed in water without being protected by an enclosed fixture. Is this within a fixture with lens? Please contact Customer Service at 888-455-2800 for further assistance.

              • Q:

I have heard that if you touch these bulbs (T4) type with your fingers they will burn out sooner. Something about the oil on the hands. Is this correct to any degree?

                  A:

This is correct. The oils left from fingers can shorten the life and affect the overall performance of the bulb. It is recommended that the bulb be wiped with alcohol after being handled.
