Comments about Bulbrite 50 Watt, 120 Volt T4 Clear Halogen DC Bayonet Bulb:

The lulbs are very expensive locally, so I purchased online for much less than at a lighting store. The bulbs do not last more than 8-10 months. Used in kitchen above counter top. Very difficult to remove from the fixture, but that is an issue with the lamp manufacturer.
The bulbs provide excellent lighting in the kitchen.

Comments about Bulbrite 50 Watt, 120 Volt T4 Clear Halogen DC Bayonet Bulb:

I ordered about half a dozen of these bulbs as I have 3 places I use them. I installed 3 new ones this fall (2010). Within a week or so one had already burned out. I replaced it. I'm hoping it was just a fluke and the others will have long-life. The bulbs are too expensive and too difficult to obtain to be running through them all the time. The jury is still out in my book on the value of this type of bulb.

                  A:

Currently, the closest match in LED is the base of this bulb. It is a GBF LED bulb: http://www.bulbs.com/espec.aspx?ID=23388

LED technology is changing all the time and it may just be a matter of time before we carry such a product.
