                      A:

It is possible that this bulb would work in the fixture. It would depend on the ballast that is currently being used. The ballast will have a label that will show the different bulbs it will operate. We would recommend checking the ballast to make sure it will operate a 40W bulb. If not, the ballast would need to be changed out.

                  • Q:

I have under the counter 24" fluorescent light fixtures. I would like a much warmer appearance from the classic "cool white" appearance. Is there a fluorescent bulb that would look more like incadesent lighting, e.g. warmer and more yellow?
                    Asked on 9/25/2011 by Anonymous

                    1 answer

                    • CUSTOMER CARE

                      A:

For a light output similar to incandescent, a color temperature of 2700K (warmest) to 3500K (neutral) would be best. We offer a number of fluorescents with these color temperatures. We recommend verifying the model number of the current bulb in the fixture to make sure that the correct size and wattage are ordered.
