Bulb Shape

The description of the general appearance of a lamp/bulb consists of a letter(s) followed by a number. The letter indicates the shape of the bulb and the number relates to the diameter of the bulb in eighths of an inch. For example, a common household bulb is the A-19. The bulb is "A" shape and the diameter would be nineteen 8ths of an inch, or 2 3/8".

Comments about Switch Lighting 60 Watt Incandescent Equivalent, 10 Watt, 120 Volt Dimmable Frosted LED A-19 Lamp - Perfect For Enclosed Fixtures:

A type of dimmer I have several of did not work properly. The bulb would act like a strobe for
a small portion of the range, but only when the bulb had reached normal operating temperature.
Naturally there other dimmers. The mfg. of the dimmer was informed, as was Switch.
All of the Infinias I have are for enclosed fixtures and not dimmed, just about perfect.

This is a rather heavy bulb. Nice and bright but the diffusion could be better, you can see the individual leds which is somewhat unattractive. Light color seems ok but i am not to fussy with this as long as it is reasonably white not yellow or purple. Have no way of evaluating longevity but if they really last as long as claimed this is a very, very nice (but not perfect) bulb.

              • Q:

I have Lutron Diva dimmers all over my house and the fixtures currently have incandescent bulbs in them. Will these Switch Lighting bulbs dim properly with this type of dimmer? If not, can you suggest a warm color LED that is compatible with my dimmer? thx.

There are C.L (CFL and LED) models and other Diva models that are only for incandescent and halogen. Can you confirm with a model number? Please contact one of our certified Lighting Specialists at 888-455-2800 and we'll help you find the right LED or Dimmer.
