Color Rendering Index is an international system used to rate a lamp's ability to render object colors. The higher the CRI (based upon a 0-100 scale) the richer and more accurately colors generally appear. CRI differences among lamps are not usually visible to the eye unless the difference is more than 3-5 points.

CRI
80

Color Temperature (Kelvin)

An expression of the hue of the light emitted, measured in degrees Kelvin. Usually expressed by a four digit number followed by (k), such as 2700k. Higher temperatures indicate whiter, "cooler" colors, while lower temperatures indicate yellower, "warmer" colors. Some common Kelvin temperature benchmarks are 2700k (warm white), 3500k (neutral white), 4100k (cool white), 5000k (bright white), and 6500k (daylight).

Q & A

Philips Lighting DIMMABLE 6" LED Recessed Downlight, 15 Watt lamp replaces existing BR40 incandescent lamps with a more energy efficient, longer lasting, and more technologically advanced alternative. Can smoothly dim down to 5% power on most dimmers.

  • Perfect to use anywhere you are using BR40 lamps in recessed ceiling fixtures

  • No lead or mercury means easy and environmentally safe disposal

  • 800 Lumens initial light output is comparable to most 75 Watt incandescent lamps, while saving 60 Watts in electricity

  • VERY long life - rated to still put out 70% as much light after 45,000 hours of operation as it does when brand new

Before mounting the downlight into the housing please make sure the housing contains two brackets used to receive the torsion springs. Below is a list of recessed cans that the Philips DL6 recessed downlight is compatible with.  The absence of a can from this compatibility list does not necessarily indicate that the DL6 is not compatible with a particular can.

  • Cooper (Halo) - H71CATNB, H71CTNB, H7TNB

      A:

If by OD, you are referring to overall diameter, the largest bulb diameter would be 3.75" or a PAR30, BR30 or R30 lamp.
