The people who were unhappy with this product did not read or understand the specifications of this product. #1 They should have compared the lumens to short life bulbs. #2 These bulbs are rated at 130 volts; not 120. This is how they achieve a long life. The filaments are rated at 130 volts and most homes have somewhere around 115-117 volts. #3 Because they are operated at a nominal 115 volts the lumens or light output is less than you anticipated. If you want the output of a 75 watt bulb, buy the 100 watt. If you want output of a 60 watt bulb buy a 75 watt, (if you can find them rated at 130 volts) etc. If you don't care about how much money you spend, buy the expensive LED bulbs, or the incandescent rated at 120 volts and change them out every 3-6 months.

Not happy at all. For "100 Watters" they put off a wimpy amount of light. Even worse, they have a "blue hue" to them. I asked for normal, old-fashioned incandescent light bulbs and they reassured me these were "it". THEY ARE NOT. Gee thanks.

                            A:

This bulb can be used on 120 Volts. The bulb has a thicker filament since it's rated for 130V. The bulb when used in a 120V system will last longer however; the light output will be reduced by approximately 20%.
