Comments about Bulbrite 100 Watt, 120 Volt BR40 HALOGEN Flood Reflector Bulb:

Prior to bying these 100 watt bulbs, I purchased 120 watt bulbs. One of the 120 watt bulbs burned out in a few hours. So far the 100 watt bilbs are great.

Comments about Bulbrite 100 Watt, 120 Volt BR40 HALOGEN Flood Reflector Bulb:

Got two of these to try them in our recessed lights. We used to use 120W 130V floods but can't get them now. We tried compact fluorescent floods. When my wife saw these bulbs work she said replace all of the fluorescent floods we are using NOW!! Great light and you don't have to wait as they start dim and finally get up to full light like the fluorescents do. These are a good replacement for the origional bulbs and we can use our dimmers again.

Comments about Bulbrite 100 Watt, 120 Volt BR40 HALOGEN Flood Reflector Bulb:

I bought these for my recessed lamps in my kitchen after being unable to find any 90-100 watt bulbs at the big box stores or local retailers. The 100 watt is a nice bright, clean light for task light light and glad they are dimmable.

          • Q:

Are halogen floodlights being phased out along with the incandescent bulbs or will I be able to buy them in the future?

              A:

Some halogen reflectors may be phased out if they do not meet the lumens per watt standards set in the EISA 2007 legislation. The legislation will not go into effect until July of 2012. This particular bulb meets the standard and should still be available for sale. We would recommend checking in another few months to see if the manufacturer has made any changes to the product or plans to phase the product out.
