  • Q:

Can one use this in a closet within an in-ceiling canister (deep alzak) type light?

      A:

This bulb is a metal halide type that requires a ballast and enclosed metal halide fixture. It is not meant to replace an incandescent or halogen bulb and should not be used in a fixture that is meant for an incandescent or halogen bulb. If an energy efficient alternative is desired, then either an LED or compact fluorescent would be a suitable replacement.
