The bulb is "A" shape and the diameter would be nineteen 8ths of an inch, or 2 3/8".

Our community has 204 units, each with 4 of these bulbs per kitchen fixture. We try to keep them stocked and replace them at no cost for our residents. It is important that we get a quality bulb at a good price. So far, these bulbs have outlasted and under priced others that we have tried!

The light fixtures were cheap but the bulbs are killing the budget. The Bulbs put out a tremendous amount of heat and there is no alternative so the electric bill is way up there. I am thinking about replacing all the light fixtures that use this bulb - what a waste.

Comments about Plusrite 50 Watt, 120 Volt MR16 Halogen Narrow Flood EXN Bulb:

Got a used hood vent for the kitchen stove and one light was burnt. Went to local store and purchased a bulb that looked like a perfect match, it was not, would not install. Got online and found the manufacturer website, replacement bulb was available for $32! The vent takes 4 bulbs, really? Started searching, found bulbs.com, Yeah! Paid way less and they fit perfectly. The bulb from bulbs.com gives a light that is "hotter" (for lack of a better word) than the original bulbs. The light from the original bulbs are more diffuse, but I saved like $100 on 4 bulbs, who cares.

Comments about Plusrite 50 Watt, 120 Volt MR16 Halogen Narrow Flood EXN Bulb:

Bought 12 of these last july. In a fixture of five bulbs, that had 2 burned out, I put in two of these. One died after two weeks. Shortly after, the other one died. Over the following 8 months or so, these new bulbs kept burning out. I am now down to the last two. Also during this time, the remaining three bulbs in the other 3 sockets (not from this batch) are still burning bright and never failed. These things are a waste of money.

This is a cheap product that will kill your budget. My 20 bulbs lasted 2 months as they burn out very quickly. One bulb lasted 10 seconds - it popped as soon as I replaced it. I replace this with 35watt bulbs (same company, same model) - and it lasts so much better. Buy 35watts, they don't burn out as fast.

I had bought a box of these 2 years ago, as spares for a kitchen fixture. Worked out great, each bulb lasted quite a while. Just got a replacement box. First two bulbs lasted only a week each. Shipping Damage? Quality control? I don't honestly know. But they are burning out quickly. Read all reviews and make your own choices, this is just my experience.
