i am looking for the same type of black light bulbs they used in the seventies. is this the exact same bulb?

The black light blue bulbs can be used for special effects, glow in the dark and nightclub applications. This is similar to the types of bulbs that were used in the 1970's for those types of applications however; the diameter and wattage are most likely not the same. If there is a fixture currently in place, we suggest verifying the type of bulb is takes.

What is the best black light tube type to use to attract bugs at night? It seems there are many types of bulbs (tube, reflector, etc) and different fixtures as well. I've heard that a "white" black light is the best for attracting insects at night.
