Comments about PHILIPS LONGER LIFE 194LL Automotive Bulb - Twice the Life of Standard Lights:

Best For original replacement on an older used car Dash lights.
There are 6 dash lights very difficult to get at and require a lot of dismantling and re assembly so one would think the LED replacemente with 50,000 hours + life expectancy would be a perfect application.
But Consider this: It took 14 years for my standard dash lights to burn out. I replaced them for a total cost under $12.00 for all six bulbs with longer life bulbs than original equipment. After pricing the equivilant LED replacement bulb at over $12.00 per bulb, it is a definate NO BRAINER' LED bulbs need a whole lot more refinement to bring the cost down to an afordable level. Yes they will out live that old 1998 relic but so will the long life .98 cent bulbs.
