Comments about Philips 75 Watt Incandescent Equivalent, 18 Watt, 120 Volt Warm White Outdoor CFL Bulb:

My first Philips outdoor CFL lasted several years - even in harsh Minnesota winters. Last time I ordered to replace the Philips, the product was some generic piece of junk that only lasted one year. Glad to have Philips back. Please keep it available. If you need something cheaper for the value oriented consumer, or someone in a less harsh environment, I'm sure the generic was fine.

This particular bulb is not available in 5000-6500K color temperatures. We do offer some compact fluorescent bulbs in the brighter color temps that can be used outdoors. These bulbs will need to be used in a protected or enclosed fixture. They can be found using the following link. http://www.bulbs.com/Covered,_Outdoor_&_Bug/Bright_White/results.aspx

I was looking to purchase a 'whiter' light, but this model number is only available in 2700 Kelvin. I tried a 5000K so-called 'outdoor use' bulb, but it did not last anywhere near as long as this Philips model.
