I have a customer that wants these lamps installed on a dimmer switch. Can these lamps be used with a dimmer swith and if so does it require a any thing other than a standard dimmer?

                  A:

This is an incandescent bulb and the vast majority of incandescent bulbs are dimmable. The bulb is only 6-watts so light output, even when on the higher setting, will not appear very bright. Also, with the bulb being 6-watts there may not be much dimming capability.

is a candelabra base the smaller base?

                • Bulbs.com LS1 Certified Lighting Specialist

                  A:

The candelabra base is smaller than the standard medium screw base. It is an E12 base and measures 0.47" in diameter or close to a 1/2".
