    • Q:

How do I know if I need 120V or 130V bulbs? What's the difference? Isn't 120V the standard in US wiriing?

        A:

Either voltage would be acceptable. The 130-volt bulb has a thicker filament and will last longer when used in a 120-volt socket. The 130-volt bulb is also better suited for areas prone to power surges or spikes.
