Q & A

Litetronics brand "three-way" compact fluorescent lamp.  Selects between 12, 22, and 33 Watts of power, producing equivalent light to 50, 100, and 150 Watt incandescent lamps.  Warm white color and high color rendering mean you'll never know the difference, at least until you get your electric bill.

  • Outstanding energy efficiency - provides equivalent light to most incandescent lamps while using only a fraction of the electricity

  • Outstanding life - 10,000 hour rated life is five to ten times as long as most incandescent lamps

  • Outstanding value - replace your existing lamps with more energy efficient technology, at a competitive price

Three-contact screw base, suitable for use in "three-way" fixtures.

NOT RECOMMENDED for use in enclosed fixtures or for use with control devices such as sensors or dimmers, may shorten lamp life

I purchased this bulb because I couldn't find anything else to work with my lamp that takes 50/100/150 watt bulbs. I was disappointed in that it doesn't get bright and fill the room with a lot of light like a regular bulb and my other spiral CFL bulbs do. It's okay if you're not expecting a lot of light. I do like that it is shorter than most so it doesn't show over the top of the lamp bowl.

Replacing a "standard" 3-way in thesmall lamps in the living room. This bulb gives good light and good color to the area, and lasts 1-1/2 to 2 years in the way we use it.

[...] the new bulbs just aren't as good as the incandescent and tend to burn down in the amount of light given out fairly quickly. it's the same with all the eco friendly bulbs. they give out a lot of light for a short time and then start waning.

Using it in a torchiere lamp w/3-way socket. Bought a bulb a "big box" store but it was too tall and could be seen. Saw the shorter version and tried it. Fits well and can't bee seen. Only wish it was available in say 35/50/75 instead of the 50/100/150.

This bulb is advertised as LOW PROFILE, but the Product Details show the overall length as 5.375 inches! This is longer than a normal CFL bulb, so the specs must be wrong.

                Please verify the true length.

                  A:

The true length is 5.375". It is reasonably short when compared to CFL lamps that provide light output equivalent to 150 watts. Additionally, this length is the same/similar to the legth of an incandescent 3-way bulb.
